Website build and service terms

Draft terms for Kiavo projects. The agreed proposal and signed contract should set the final scope and take priority where they differ.

Draft for review · 7 October 2026

These drafts are not a substitute for professional legal advice. Verify the facts and complete any bracketed information before publication.

Scope and agreement

Each project begins with a written proposal describing deliverables, price, assumptions, responsibilities and any agreed timing. Work starts after both sides accept the proposal and any stated start payment is received.

Website design fee and payments

Website builds begin with a £75 homepage design fee. The design is based on the client’s business, services, supplied wording and content, branding, colours and requirements. If the client proceeds, the £75 is credited against the agreed build price. If they do not proceed, no further website build payment is due. The remaining balance is payable before launch. There is no mid-build payment. The design fee covers the design work and does not transfer ownership of an uncommissioned design unless agreed in writing.

Prices and VAT

Published prices are starting prices or plan prices where stated. Final fixed project quotes reflect the agreed scope. Kiavo is currently not VAT registered and does not add VAT to its prices. If that changes, future quotes will explain any applicable tax.

Client responsibilities

The client supplies accurate content, approvals, brand materials and access needed for the agreed work, and confirms they have permission to use materials they provide. Delays in content, feedback, approvals or third-party access can change delivery dates.

Ownership and third-party materials

Once all agreed project invoices are paid, the client owns the commissioned website deliverables, supplied content and domain where the domain is registered to them, subject to third-party licences and any separately identified exclusions. Kiavo does not claim ownership of third-party platforms, plugins, fonts, stock assets or services. Ongoing subscriptions and provider fees are the client’s responsibility unless the proposal states otherwise.

Search, AI and automation

SEO and AEO work is intended to improve technical foundations, clarity and discoverability; rankings, traffic, leads or business outcomes are not guaranteed. AI and automation depend on data quality, provider behaviour and agreed human checks. They can make mistakes and should not replace appropriate human judgement.

Testing, acceptance and changes

The proposal describes included revision rounds and testing. Additional work, scope changes or extra revision rounds may require a separate quote and approval. The client reviews the final work before launch and reports any agreed-scope issues promptly.

Launch, cancellation and disputes

The final balance is due before launch. Cancellation, suspension, refunds, warranty/support limits, dispute handling and any consumer cancellation rights must be specified in the project agreement before work begins: [confirm Kiavo’s approved cancellation and refund terms]. Nothing here removes statutory rights.
